Dance Instruction with Jaana Tuttila and Johanna Solem
Jaana and Johanna dance with the Kisarit Finnish American Folk Dancers and teach Finnish folk dances and mixers at Lauluaika events. Jaana plays bass and nyckelharpa with Lauluaika, Finn Hall, and the Twin Cities Nyckelharpalag. Johanna played fiddle and sings with Lauluaika and Finn Hall!
7 pm Lauluaika (“Song Time”) is a Finnish folk band based in the Twin Cities. The group was formed in 2016 out of a shared commitment to learning, preserving, and teaching Finnish and Finnish American folk music—specifically music played at dances in the old Finn Halls.
