Professional storyteller

Kari at Lights of Logan, Minneapolis

I present an interactive, engaging, humorous and
cross cultural storytelling experience.

Whether traditional tales from around the world or original stories, props, projects, and tangible examples help me teach through storytelling.

My personal stories and family histories have been performed on stage and in workshops and retreats to help others pull their personal stories together.

My vast knowlege of Winter Solstice Tales from around the world have been popular at educational and corporate venues and find their way into the Yule Shows of the Discovering Origins/Building Traditions Project.

Cherokee stories and songs were popular at Articulture (school for the arts). Craft projects accompanied the stories and songs. While not a Cherokee herself, Kari has studied the tales and culture and worked with renown Cherokee Musician and Storyteller, Michelle Mays.

Stories of Norse Mythology and Huldre Eventyr are teaching tools in her many classes offered through Ingebretsen's on Lake Street.

Professor Corpus Callosum is a character I developed from my own geeky love of brain function and how it relates to our world. Through this comic character I teach all ages and all levels about the amazing brain, giving characters to each brain part and function wherever I can!

The Imani series is another example of how I create original stories and weave morality tales into entertainment for the whole family. Pairing my stories with puppetry and other arts is such a joy!

What ever your topic, what ever your event, I will pull together stories and engage the listeners in a memorable, intelligent, and humorous way.
