Matt Spillum - Performance Artist, Bodhran Irish Drummer, poet and graphic designer/visual artist

Matt has been contributing to Kari Tauring and Friends since the first Discovering Origins/Building Traditions Ritual Show in 1999. He has performed as the drummer in the East, the left brain, Valentine the Sainted Martyr, the Tribal Chief in the NW, the three fold god and the aged face of Winter.

His graphic art work has also graced many Discovering Origins/Building Traditions Ritual Shows - most recently our new logo design! Thank you Matty!!!

Playing the Bodhran on the original Yuletide Celebration CD for "I sing of a Maiden" Matt has added his wonderful roots rythms to other performances with Kari's various acts.

He has drummed and played mandolin with several bands throughout the Twin Cities area and has played and coached ultimate frisbee for many years.

Matt adds his roots rythm and deep vocals to the Huldre project for a rich Celto-Scandinavian sound.
