	Kari Tauring Resume Educator, Working Writer and Musician, Mother Education Master of Arts in Teaching, 1996. University of St. Thomas, St. Paul. Minnesota State Teacher's Licensure, 1994. Bachelor of Arts granted in English and Philosophy, 1990. University of St. Thomas. Extension classes in Early Childhood Development, Stout University, Wisconsin. Luther College, Decorah, Iowa. Life-long learner. Experience with Subject As a working song writer, the co-creater of a website for musicians (minnesota-music.com), and a life-long learner, my experience with the language of English is continually alive and my philisophical understanding is constantly challenged. I love to study and use the language in as many ways as possible. Therefore, I feel comfortable and competent to teach the subject of English as a way of artistic expression, a means of communicating in a bureaucratically run environment, historically, culturally, and as a second language. Experience with Teaching I have taught and developed curricula since 1988. At the Science Museum of Minnesota, I developed classes and summer camps for children and youths. I taught adult ESL for the Mendota Heights Community College. I developed and implemented a course for Dunwoody Institute in Technology and the Arts for Youth summer program. I am developing and will soon teach a course in learning and teaching at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design In England, I taught and developed curricula for Matthew Arnold Middle School in English and National Curricula Implementation of Technology in the English classroom. I was a student teacher and later a substitute techer for the Minneapolis school system. I have developed and conducted seminars for adult education as part of a private consortium of life-long learners. My emphasis here is in Dream Work and Spirituality. I have taught Voice Lessons privately over the last six years. My approach to Vocals is holistic and student-directed.
