Kari Tauring, M.A.T.
Interdisciplinary Artist and Educator

Kari is an interdisciplinary artist and educator working in the Twin Cities and Midwest since the 1980's. Her formal education includes undergraduate degrees in Philosophy and English and a Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of St. Thomas.

Current Resume

Her compositions, scripts, and stories are concerned with global interpretations of the feminine divine, women's place within culture, and the balance of our masculine and feminine natures on a personal and global level. Her many performances and workshops give everyone the opportunity to uncover their own interpretations of the divine and seek their balance.

Workshops and Consultations

Kari applies her classical vocal training in her new project, Huldre, which requires a variety of languages and vocal styles from folk to operatic to khulning (a yodel like call). Students of all ages have benefited from study with Kari.

Music

As a ritual artist, Kari designs performances and private ceremonies that inspire and move others to participation.
