Judy Ostrowski,
Interdisciplinary Artist and Chanter
A working artist in Minneapolis for over two decades, Judy celebrated
her 18th year chanting Nam
Myoho Renge Kyo on Valentine's Day 2005. She joined the Discovering
Origins/Building Traditions Ritual performances in 2001 with
body art, chanting and creating community through the vending aspect
of these shows.
She has performed
with Kari and Maren in many rituals over the past few years including
Goddess Night and Bridging
the Watergap.
Through her
henna business, Mehndi Moon, she has decorated,
educated,and built community across cultural bounds for the past
7 years. She has done henna, sold her henna on linen art and her
original jewelry at the Minneapolis Farmers Market, Goddess Night,
and Art Events throughout the Twin Cities area.
Her spiritual
drive and passion for creating health and beauty in the world has
also made her an award winning fundraiser for political issues throughout
the United States.
