In 1999 Kari released "A Yuletide Celebration" CD and song book of her original songs and produced the first Kari Tauring and Friends Winter Solstice Show. Hosted at the old Gus Lucky's Art venue the space was filled with over 80 people. The ambitious group accomplished a live web cast of the ritual performance as well. This show included a string quartet (bass, guitars, harp), directional drummers, directional dancers, a sun god, maiden, mother, and crone dancers, a video back drop and photo montage and was recorded in a live three camera shoot.
