Indo-European American Roots Music!

Kari Tauring on guitar, stav, vocals and percussion researches and writes original music based on ancient Scandinavian texts as well as runelore which she has studied and taught since the late 1980's. She is currently writing for a Bush Fellowship in Music Composition as well as a Jerome Travel-Study grant for this project. more

Ken Sherman on fiddle, vocals, and stav, works closely with Kari, bringing the songs and experience of his Icelandic upbringing to the content and depth of the material.

Matt Spillum adds vocals and drums to recordings and some performances. His spoken word piece was performed with "Black River Song" at the 2006 performance at the Byrant Lake Bowl Theater.
