2005 Show Photos by David de Young

Thursday Evening
September 22, 2005
Bryant Lake Bowl Theater
Doors at 6

It is Fall Equinox. The world is changing.

There is joy and such grief, and some fear.

As the darkness comes this year, death tolls are already so high. Cold weather kills plants, weak animals, and sometimes those we love. It freezes the waters here in Minnesota...or it used to. So much change. And change is the death of the old, the birth of the new. The unknown.

Why do we fear the unknowable?

How does the brain create chemicals for fear? The Professor

How do we embrace what we fear..make it knowable?

What tools do we have to find the balance as we get in the boat and sail to the other side of the year?

Cross the River with your family and friends at the Bryant Lake Bowl on Thursday the 22nd of September, Fall Equinox Eve
all ages / all stages welcomed

Experience the
the grace of Tamara Rogers and Matt Spillum as they dance the myth cycle of the maiden, mother, crone and the dying god of the three harvests.

Feel the power of Ken Sherman and Maren Amdal's chant and song move through your being.

As part of the ritual aspect of this performance, everyone had the opportunity to write fears for the dark half of the year, and put them into the cauldron so that we can cross the river unafraid.

What does Kari do with all those Papers?
The over 45 papers placed there were then burned ritually in the hearth of Kari Tauring the following day.

Discovering Origins/Building Traditions Ritual Shows are all ages, all faiths inclusive opportunities to celebrate and transform our human condition as we change and transform with the seasons of Earth.
