Come early for dinner - Stay late for Henna and Readings

This is the season of Death and Dying. From Japan to ancient Norway, to the Gospels sung in harvest fields, the River of Death is a common theme.

Come explore it with us!

It's the Harvest Time -
Bring
donations for the local food shelf, especially mindful of those with food allergies, in honor of the Hindu Fall Tradition Mahalaya Paksha and in honor of the Celtic god who dies as the harvest!

As we pass the Fall Equinox and Winter descends, we can find tools for Celebration and Great peacefulness within the Global Traditions of this Season. Join us at the River as we celebrate our harvest and plant roots in the dark!

In Japan Equinox is the celebration of the Higan-e ("other shore"). We prepare for our certain deaths by repenting failed crops and casting them into the fires making room for the crop of enlightenment. We visit the memories and burial places of our ancestors so they can remember us on the other side with honor.

What will you cast into the fire?

The Hindu Fall fest Mahalaya Paksha
is dedicated to making corrections in our crop planting and harvest karma.
It is for this reason we are offering a food shelf donation area. Correct your
food karma today and have something to eat on the other shore tomorrow!

Carrying the Pharohs Boat

The five rivers that separate the living from the dead in Greek Mythology.

Who invented the Calender?

In Norse Mythology there are 11 rivers that flow from the "world tree" called Yggdrasil. Two must be crossed to reach Hel's (goddess of death) domain.
