and Drummer Matt Spillum, Singers Maren Amdal, David Moore, Katie
Pearson, chanters Judy Ostrowski and Jeff Gulik

Amdal and Tamara Rogers involving over
50 audience members. A double helix was achieved!
"Angel
on the Threshold" by Kari Tauring
a mostly improvisational
piece showing with humor the things that get in the way of our progress
as humans. Carrying too much baggage, being so focussed on the end
result that we can not see the stairway to get to the door, being
blessed with so many choices that we get befuddled and don't go
anywhere at all.Maren Amdal plays the first angel, it requires the
help of the community to unburden her. The second angel is Kip Overbo.
His help comes from the goddess at the doorway. The third angel
is Judy Ostrowski. By quieting our minds we merge with our true
path, so all the doors become one door and we choose without choosing.

I
had a grocery bag full of mini-dvs from three camera shoots of shows
going back to 2000...I thought they were all high-8. My learning
curve ball made contact...its a home run. But, where are the bases?
So
I thought, well, I don't know what mini-dv is so I'll just make
them a power point display of my most recent work (since it was
all photos...)
Some
flustered calls to Kathi and Julie at the Bush office and to others
and I realized...sorry Kari, you have to figure out the video.
So
Kip Overbo called me back "hey I think I have what you need."
Some
weeks and hours later, more calls to the Bush Office...I laughed
because my 8 year old son was also experiencing a learning curve.
"I feel stupid too," I told him. It was bonding. I blogged
about it
Here
We
got it done, got it in. It felt great.
In
the meantime I was working on my Discography Here
and thought I would google all the people I have worked with in
the past. Well, Johnny Faeth turned
up real close by...in fact, just accross the river at my old Alma
Matter - UST.
He
helps me with my learning curve now. Collaborating with him is a
life long goal of mine. We really push each others envelopes!
